Lots more fun today and super busy. We started off the morning with fun and games in the grounds with Mrs Norton's group getting on the ropes course and the Big Swing and Mrs Clark's group doing orienteering. Lots of team work and encouragement needed on the Big Swing and just as much during orienteering as it was quite tricky trying to navigate around the grounds to find all the different points and symbols on the map. However, everyone did very well and managed to succeed once again.
Lunch was on site today so no lovely views but it was nice to sit and chat.
This afternoon Mrs Clark's group went canoeing on the lake, there wasn't as much time spent going around in circles but Mr Turnbull thinks the success was all down to his hard work! Mrs Clark has other thoughts! All in all it was huge success and we really enjoyed it!
Mrs Norton's group went gorge walking up Honister gorge- it was amazing! Waterproofs and wellies came in extremely handy as we took no time in diving straight in and working together as a team to help guide each other through the rocky waters. Towards the end we made a human damn and waited for the water to gather up behind us and push us down the bank- great fun.
Back at the centre it was lasagne or fish and chips for tea which was enjoyed by all.....Then the real fun started; packing! There was much debate about which socks belonged to which room mate but we got there in the end. Once the cases were sorted and we'd changed we gather together for our last social evening. A disco, dvd or football outside were the options and I'm sure it'll be no surprise that the boys spent most of the evening with the football at their feet whilst the girls danced the night away.
Bedtime now---- completely worn out. We are so looking forward to seeing everyone back hope but we've had an amazing time!
Lots of love Year 5, Mrs Clark, Mrs Norton and Mr Turnbull
